General Description: FDC Series 2901/2951 Promotional Masking Films are a solid color flexible low
luster calendered vinyl film, available in a variety of colors.
Colors: Available in a variety of opaque solid colors. Call your FDC sales rep for a color
chart.
Thickness: 3.4 mil. /4.4 mil w/adhesive
Surface/Finish: Solid color, high gloss, premium, cast vinyl film.
Application Surface: Flat, and simple curves
Adhesive: Permanent, solvent-based, clear acrylic based pressure sensitive adhesive. Must
be removed within 24 hrs.
Adhesion: 180∞Peel
Substrate 1min. 15min. 24hrs.
Stainless Steel 2.5lb/in 3.0lb/in. 4.0lb/in.
Note: Always pretest material on your specific substrate.
Tensile At Yield: 4-8 lb/in
Liner: 78# Bleached Kraft.
Dimensional Stability: 0.015? shrinkage determined by measuring shrinkage of unprinted film applied to
6?x 6? aluminum test panel after 72 hours aging at 73∞ F/50% R.H. followed by
48 hours aging at 150∞F.
Elongation: 100% Minimum for non-metallic colors 50% minimum for metallic colors.
Outdoor Durability: Up to 2 years, when properly processed and applied (vertical exposure, unprinted
film).
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to most petroleum based oils, greases and aliphatic solvents. Resistant
to mild acids, alkalies and salts. For ultimate solvent resistance, over laminate
and edge seal.
Service Temp Range: -50°F to 180°F (Reasonable range of temperatures which would be expected
under normal environmental time and temperature conditions).
Minimum App Temp: 45∞F for non-metallic colors and 40°F for metallic colors.
Shelf Life: 1 year when stored at temperatures under 73∞F and 50% R.H.
