Intermediate Static Cling Film 1203
General Description: FDC Series 1203/1253 Static Cling vinyl is a double polished flexible calendered vinyl. It is a unique conformable film with the ability to adhere to a variety of smooth surfaces without the presence of a pressure sensitive adhesive, allowing for easy removal and reapplication without leaving an adhesive residue. Colors: Clear and white Caliper of Film: 7.5 mil. Water Resistance: Excellent. Test piece showed no deterioration or effect on cling. Not affected when immersed in 70°F (20°C) water for seven days. Solvent Resistance: Excellent resistance to most petroleum based solvents and lower aliphatic alcohols. Humidity Resistance: Excellent. Adhesion: Warm Surface 160°F (71°C) Substrate Initial Bond 24hr Bond Acrylic Excellent Excellent Glass Excellent Excellent Cold Surface 32°F(0°C) Substrate Initial Bond 24hr Bond Acrylic Excellent Excellent Glass Excellent Excellent Liner: Note: Always pretest material on your specific substrate. Dimensional Stability: Excellent. No measurable shrinkage on applied parts. Inks: Static Cling vinyl usually offers good adhesion for most solvent screen inks. Contact your ink supplier for recommendations. Test printability adhesion before production. Being a highly plasticized vinyl, migration to the surface may reduce ink adhesion. Conditioning the stock at 110º F, or wiping with isopropyl alcohol will reduce the plasticizer on the surface. Shelf Life: 3 months. Excessive heat over 75º F and humidity over 75% increases the rate of plasticizer migration. These factors could affect ink adhesion and printability. Service Temp Range: 20°F to 200° F
